bleeding through rises or records at least

The Southern California based band, who celebrates their 10 Year Anniversary next month with a West Coast tour, is proud to announce their new alliance with Rise Records, the Portland based independent record label.  And from the sound of it, the band is pretty excited about the signage and allying themselves with a label that in the midst of many that are flopping at the moment. “We’ve been a band for a decade and we wanted to be with someone who is enthusiastic about Bleeding Through and is in a position to help us continue to grow and progress as well,” said front man Brandan Schieppati.

As for Rise Records,  they seem equally pumped about the signing with the president Craig Ericson saying that having the band in their family is “a dream come true. We both share extreme passion for music and can’t wait to show the world what we can achieve together as a team.”  So what helped to seal the deal since other labels were throwing their offers on the plate as well? Attitude, it seems. According to the band there was a lot of serious interests from many labels, many of which they got on pretty well with but Rise Records felt like the best fit because… drum roll… “they are excited about our band and our music first and foremost.”  Apparently Bleeding Through isn’t a huge fan of labels and managers and agents that see bands as dollar signs to advance their own interests instead of asking what they can do for the band.

Bleeding Through has sold over a quarter million records around the world over the course of their career. This is Love, This is Murderous (2003), The Truth (2006) and last year’s uncompromising Declaration have propelled the hard-working band from the hardcore underground to the worldwide stage. They’ve taken part in Ozzfest (twice), MTV’s Headbanger’s Ball: The Tour and Vans Warped Tour. They’ve toured with bands like Slayer, Marilyn Manson, HIM, AFI, Bullet For My Valentine and Senses Fail across North America, Europe, Australia, South America and Southeast Asia.  Bleeding Through tentatively plans to record the followup to Declaration in early 2010. And since the chic is still pretty hot, and they are killer live, we’ll definitely give it a listen.
