Showbread Fears God August 11th

The Fear of God is probably one of the most powerful album titles that a album has had to boast to date. Showbread will reveal exactly what they have to offer with their next release off of Tooth and Nail records on August 11th. Over the years, there is scarcely a place that Showbread has not ventured with their sound from the chaotic dissonant No Sir to the more melodic and lyrically devoted Age of Reptiles to the dual disc artistic masterpiece of Anorexica / Nervosa. And from the two tracks posted to Showbread’s myspace thusfar? The Fear of God promises to have all the bite of No Sir, Nihilism is Not Practical but with a sound that has grown and changed just as their lineup has continuously over the years. Still chaotic, still dissonant, still completely raw. Not unfamiliar to controversy, between the title of the album to the album’s artwork, Showbread is sure to stir shit all over again by provoking those questioning and those who believe all the same. Whatever religious stance one might possess, the album promises to be a fantastic listen. Head on over to http://www.myspace.com/showbread to check out their tracks Nothing Matters Anymore and Lost Connection With The Head. I really just hope they bring the keytar back because as much as I love screaming along, I just cant envision Showbread totally without the keytar. I’m amped for this album!
